lol well as you all know my car isn't running but when it does i will have plenty of shit to put on it, like this which came today,
[IMG] [/IMG]I thought it was kind of dirty when i got it so i figured,..... eh F it i have nothing better do to,.. soo with some sandpaper, a rag, and engine degreaser i changed this.........[IMG] [/IMG]TO THIS [IMG] [/IMG]just cleaned it up a little bit, and fixed the bent stud.

bring it to a machine shop and have them dip it, start fresh, then either paint it nice or powdercoat it...
Nice intake but it was poorly done... Plus you want all that garbage and sludge off of it...

I must say mines was dipped in a cleaning pit for almost a week before its really clean.

Thanks, I thought the same thing. Here is a pic of an actual Cobra GT-40 production intake from 1995. Yep, I have it, honed and polished.

I like that one better, but this was an un-refuseable deal, and I cleaned off alot of sludge, still plenty more, Although all I used was a rag, engine degreaser (lol more than half empty) and...... 100grit... cuz it was all I could find when i got home.

get it professionally cleaned, its cheap to get it dipped. and don't put 100 grit on the sealing surfaces...

yup yup mine is the Explorer Version, i wouldn't have gotten it if i knew the Typhoon was only like 200 something.. but as you all know, I am an impulse buyer.
