Default WTB: Open Car Trailer

I'm looking for an open car trailer, either solid or open deck. Must be at least 8' wide and have an 18' deck.

Looking to spend in the $2k range, give or take a bit.

Feel free to call or text: 914-474-1368

Frank

I ended up ordering the 18x8 open deck from these guys:

http://www.econotrailer.com/Open.html

It came out to the price listed plus $28 to ship, and no PA Sales Tax. For a brand new trailer, I'm not sure you could find a much better deal.

Should have her delivered to the front door in two-three weeks!

nice trailer, but I'd opt for 15" wheels, something about 14" wheels on a car trailer seems odd to me lol

Get 2 spare tires. If one blows, another usually isn't far behind.

good luck with it !

Thank you guys!

I'm definitely going to have two spares. She'll only see limited use on Friday nights to the track and then for race car stuff in general.

Trailer was delivered yesterday! I can't believe the quality for the price. Just don't ask what it cost me at the DMV today Leaving NY looks better each day...

But the trailer is awesome and will get the job done just fine. If the weather's good, she'll get the acid test on Friday.

I'd buy new tires and pop the rims /tires off the trailer and bring it that way to a shop.

also if your rims are s hitty looking it might be better to buy a new rim/tire as a package, they are pretty reasonable that way also

My rims are nice ... but the center caps are so so. But thx for the idea ... I should have thought to at least consider it. Tire rack sell rims for trailers ... I guess they would.

just search it out, sometimes its a better option to buy all together, next time I need tires I am doing the rim/tire combo and keeping the 4 from mine as spares, im a retart when it comes to spares and always carry 2 - usually if one blows a 2 isn't too far away and I use mine a lot.

Greg
Keep in mind that Big Tex has a parts division that sells any and every part for their trailers. It is www.textrail.com. Center caps were cheap 4 or 5 bucks back then. Chrome lugs from them or summit racing.
