I believe they took orders for 107 cars, but only intended to build an even 100. Presumably, there was a lawsuit which led to them building the extra seven cars.

dont ask how i know but a dealer ordered 7 and they never showed .When they got around to suing ford for them . Ford was forced to produce the preordered seven .Pretty cool story
